“That’s Mamba” reimagines the folklore of Kobe Bryant through a new generation of young basketball players facing their own tests of commitment to the game. A young girl practices free throws with her left hand after breaking her right. Two friends and teammates become opponents on the blacktop. After a tough championship loss, a young player stays behind to work on the mistakes that cost them the game.
As a lifelong Lakers and Kobe fan, this was a dream directing assignment from W+K & The Mamba/Nike Brand.
